Located across from Northgate Mall in one of the Seattle's densest retail areas, Northgate Community Center provides a welcome respite from the noise and commotion of the surrounding neighborhood. The center shares a parking lot with the Northgate Library which is located just to the north. Built in 2006, the community center, the building features a lobby, a full-size gym, large multipurpose room (with commercial-grade kitchen), and smaller rooms including classrooms, arts and craft room, a weight room, teen room and game room. Northgate is one of the newest community centers in the city and has a LEEDS Gold rating for its environmentally sustainable design. The rooms are used for a variety of programs, classes and rentals including ballet and dance, cooking classes, arts and crafts, teen programs, environmental programs, toddler playtime, and programs for seniors.

Do you live near Licton Springs Park? We are beginning construction on the restroom replacement project as soon as Monday, October 19, 2026!

SPR has awarded the contract for this work to Peak Drywall. During construction the restroom and a small area adjacent to the building will closed. SPR anticipates the restroom will open to the public in spring 2027.

This project replaces the Licton Springs Park restroom building that was destroyed by arson in 2021. The new building will include two single stall restrooms, and a small community storage space. The new building will meet SPR design and engineering standards, as well as comply with current applicable building codes.

Seattle Parks and Recreation and our partners One Roof Foundation invite the community to celebrate the new sports court at Hubbard Homestead Park! Join us Thurs, Sept. 17 from 3 to 5 pm at the park.

Construction on the new sports court began in June. The improved facility features an expanded court with basketball hoops and field hockey goals at each end, providing greater opportunities for outdoor recreation.

This project was made possible through a partnership with One Roof Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena.

The new aeronautical themed play area at Hubbard Homestead opened in March! Stop by the park to swing, climb, slide and explore!
