💛 GiveOUT Day is June 4, and your support helps keep spaces like the Seattle LGBTQ+ Center open, welcoming, and rooted in community care.

Henry’s story is a great example that the Center is more than a building. It’s a place made possible by staff, volunteers, donors, and community members who believe q***r and trans people deserve care, safety, and belonging.

“I volunteer because over the past few years, I’ve noticed how many anti-trans bills have been popping up around this country. Not only that, but there has been a right-wing culture shift in this country since the first Trump term. I just want to do the right thing for trans and q***r people, especially in these times. So, I signed up to volunteer at Seattle’s LGBTQ Center. And since I started volunteering, I’ve met so many good people at the Center. I’m really glad that our city has a space and organization like this.”

— Henry, Front Desk Volunteer

This GiveOUT Day, help us continue creating a space where q***r and trans people can find resources, support, and community.

Mental health is shaped by more than what happens in a person’s mind. Housing, food access, healthcare, and community can all impact how we move through the world.

For Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re sharing a starting point for resources that may help you or someone you know. This is by no means a complete list, but it includes places that we know and turn to when beginning to look for support.

Save this post, share it with someone who may need it, and visit gaycity.org/resources for additional resources and information.

Pride means showing up. GiveOUT Day helps us keep doing just that. 🌈

As q***r and trans communities continue to face escalating hostility,
unjust laws and attacks on our rights, visibility matters. So does meeting LGBTQ+ people where they are with care, resources and real connection.

We recently tabled at a D***s on Bikes event, sharing resources, connecting with community members and celebrating q***r joy in action. Our staff is always proud to be in spaces like this, raising awareness about the Center’s work and listening to what our communities need.

Your GiveOUT Day gift supports the Seattle LGBTQ+ Center’s work to provide care, joy and liberation for LGBTQ+ communities across our region.
