As we close out Jewish American Heritage Month, we take a moment to honor the legacy, culture, and collective progress toward racial equity that Jewish communities have contributed throughout United States history.

The definition of antisemitism is often debated, but we understand antisemitism as prejudice against Jewish people that calls upon and relies on the use of harmful, longstanding tropes that portray Jewish communities as a monolith or “other.”

In reality, Jewish communities are not monolithic, and instead hold a wide range of perspectives. We invite you to join us as we reflect, learn, and act through some of these resources:

Last fall, we saw food banks become more overwhelmed than ever when millions of households suddenly couldn’t access their SNAP benefits. That's when the people of Seattle, in a classic Seattle way, came together to help the Seattle Food Committee provide critical support when it was most needed. Now that's what community looks like 🙌
