Established in 2005 as a website that listed a few organizations in India, Omprakash has evolved into a dynamic web-based platform that connects over 160 non-profit organizations in 41 countries with over 12,000 registered volunteers and a growing community of donors ‒ individuals and organizations that have contributed near 5 million dollars to projects as diverse as schools in Ecuador, health clinics in Uganda, and agricultural initiatives in India. For the past ten years Omprakash has provided partner organizations (Locally run organizations confronting social issues in their communities that use volunteers to support and learn from their projects) around the world a platform from which to articulate their needs while giving potential volunteers access to a robust database of affordable, credible grassroots organizations. Through our online fully accredited training program, interns and volunteers prepare to work with our international Partners by considering the complex nature of international aid and volunteering. They receive personalized mentorship from experts in the field and engage with thorny topics and criticisms surrounding the world of voluntourism. Our unique model typically costs an individual just 30% of other programs, with the additional benefit of providing options for financial aid.

Wajamama Wellness Center Foundation, an Omprakash Partner, is a grassroots, women-led organization working to transform reproductive, maternal, and child health across sub-Saharan Africa—starting in Zanzibar. WAJAMAMA is strengthening maternal and newborn care through community-based programs, peer learning, clinical services, and participatory education.

They’re looking for interns who want to put their skills to work in women’s rights, public health, maternal health, storytelling, social justice, monitoring & evaluation, outreach, or grant research and writing.

As an intern, you'll help with community outreach events, visit health facilities and document stories, collect qualitative and quantitative data, support workshops and trainings, write for social media and reports, and help the team capture and communicate its impact.

Little Stars School Varanasi is an Omprakash Partner that provides quality education to more than 900 children from underprivileged families in Nagwa, Varanasi, at little to no cost. From pre-nursery through 12th grade, students have the opportunity to pursue a complete education—and even continue on to university. 📚✨

Volunteers can make a difference by:
• Teaching English or assisting teachers in the classroom
• Helping develop creative teaching materials and activities
• Supporting teachers and students with ICT in the classroom
• Helping with office administration
• Sharing your talents through a project such as dance, theatre, music, or art

Environmental Volunteer! 🌿 Will you help to protect biodiversity and natural ecosystems in Greece?

Omprakash Partner Terra Sylvestris invites you to Greece’s Inner Ionian Archipelago. Based on Kalamos Island, our work combines environmental protection, scientific research, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable development across forests, farmland, freshwater, and marine environments.

We’re looking for volunteers to contribute to meaningful biodiversity work through projects involving wildlife and ecosystem monitoring, marine ecology, sustainable agriculture, forest restoration, pollution research, and more. 🌊🌱 Volunteers can participate in our pre-arranged field activities or develop an individual project based on their interests and skills.
