Great Futures Start Here WBGC has been serving the Wallingford community since 1947, providing a safe and caring place for youth.

The Club provides educational and recreational opportunities, including homework assistance, art instruction, technology access, athletics, and much more to approximately 600 youth each year. Our Youth Development Program, located at the Burke 45th Street site, is at the heart of the Club's mission and provides a quality after school environment for local youth for a nominal fee (scholarships are available). We strive to provide the type of environment that leads to successful youth development:

Safe, stimulating program areas that provide learning opportunities for all
A separate programming space and late-night recreation options for teens
Low staff turnover and a focus on building relationships with members
Respect for all families, regardless of circumstances, and a commitment to family partnerships
An open and inclusive environment that welcomes all members, including those with disabilities. A focus on fun learning experiences and a high-yield learning atmosphere
Emphasis on behavior expectations and helping youth to develop good decision-making skills
FUN! Programs in technology, athletics, art and more that speak to the interests of all youth. We continue to grow our programs and increase their quality each year, and out staff are dedicated to providing the best experience for our members. Staff members work daily to ensure that we are fulfilling our mission.

What a night. 💙

Last Night's GiveBIG event at Old Stove Gardens was a huge success, and our North Side community showed up in a big way.

Together, supporters helped raise more than $9,485 and counting, surpassing this year’s $7,000 goal and setting a new benchmark for turnout and fundraising impact.

But beyond the fundraising, something even bigger happened: people came together in support of young people across our community.

From Club staff and Club Advisory Board members to families, friends, and local supporters, the night was filled with connection, generosity, and excitement for what’s possible when a community rallies around kids and teens.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the event possible and to everyone who gave, attended, volunteered, or spread the word.

And there’s still time to help us reach an incredible milestone.

We’re so close to $10,000.

If you’d like to help push us across the finish line, there’s still time to make your GiveBIG gift and help expand opportunities for kids and teens across North Seattle.

The field trips are not always about the big attraction; sometimes it's just getting to stop at the park while waiting for the bus to come back to pick everyone up.

Big smiles. Silly faces. Everyone packed in together in the shade, just enjoying the moment.

These are the days young people talk about long after summer ends.
The friends they made. The places they went. The way it felt to belong.

☀️ Summer Camp registration is open now.

📅 School year registration opens April 25, with programs open to all families.

Waiting for the bus turns into a game.
Playing games, laughing, relaxing in the shade, and making up their own rhythm.

That’s how the day starts.

Before the field trip even begins, the fun is already happening.
making new friends, reconnecting with old ones, energy, and just being a kid.

☀️ Summer Camp is open now. Come be part of it.

What’s the best part of summer camp?

For some of our teen leaders, it’s doing arts and crafts with the kids, the field trips, and the memories they’ve made year after year at the Club.

Many of these teens started as campers themselves and now help create the same fun experiences for the next group of young people.

Ready to make this summer unforgettable?

☀️ Register for summer camp today. Spots are filling fast.
