Alexander Hamilton Scholars Building Tomorrow's Leaders – Closing the Opportunity Gap At Alexander Hamilton Scholars (AHS), we provide the same opportunity for our Scholars.

Alexander Hamilton was unlike any other founding father – "a self-starter, scrappy, the ultimate underdog" (Wilser). An opportunity to receive mentorship and guidance catalyzed him to leave a legacy that forever changed the nation. Through our Pillars of Success - Transition, Heritage, Empowerment, Financial Literacy, and Leadership - we empower high-achieving, underserved students to succeed in college and career.

Welcome to the Summer Edition of the Hammiesphere!

What a summer it's been for the HamFam! We proudly welcomed our 2026 Cohort into the fold, while also celebrating our 2025 Cohort as they head off to begin an exciting new chapter as incoming first-years at college. 🎓

And we're not slowing down, we've already started preparing to welcome our third cohort in Dallas this November!

In this edition of the Hammiesphere, you'll find:

📌 An update on what has happened in the Program Department
🥂 A look ahead at our Cheers to Impact Happy Hour on October 14

"Without AHS, I would not have had the direction I was given in the years leading up to college. My parents didn't go to college, my older sibling didn't go to college... but AHS gave me those opportunities, and they encouraged me to use them." — William Namvong

William came to AHS with no roadmap for college. Today he's a 3rd-year at UCLA, and this summer, he came back as our Marketing Intern, helping run the same Leader Week that once gave him his direction.

His story is resilience, full circle. Read it here: https://bit.ly/45t53jJ

First full day of SLW Y2 = officially unforgettable. ✨ Thank you to our speaker, Dr. Alexes Harris!

We also had our annual Mentor Mingle, a speed-mentoring event connecting Hammies with incredible working professionals from our community. So much wisdom, so many new connections. 💙

Guess what week it is?! SLW Year 2! ✨

We’ll be out of office soaking up every moment with our Hammies, which means email and message replies will be a little slower than usual. Between Leader Week and recoup the week after, please bear with us for about two weeks before we’re back to our normal response time.

Welcome back 2025 Hammies! ✨
