As the Spokane-area fires reach near-full containment, recovery is just beginning for many families.

The Salvation Army remains on the ground, providing food, essential supplies, cleanup gear, and emotional and spiritual care to those impacted. To date, our teams have assisted more than 4,800 people as families begin the difficult work of rebuilding.

The need continues, and so does our support. Help us stand with Spokane families through recovery.

Families impacted by the Spokane-area fires are beginning to return home, many to unimaginable devastation.

As Captain David Cain shares from the field, families are searching through what remains of their homes, hoping to recover irreplaceable pieces of their lives: a grandmother’s wedding ring, family china, photographs and other treasured belongings.

The Salvation Army is there alongside them, providing Tyvek suits to help protect families from toxic ash, distributing cold water and Gatorade, and offering a listening ear and compassionate support during an incredibly difficult time.

But we can’t do this work without you. Your generosity helps us continue providing essential supplies and care to families as they begin to recover and rebuild.

Please give today: salarmy.us/spokanefires

To everyone who has already donated, thank you. Your support is helping us be there for Spokane families when they need it most.

Back-to-school season is about more than new backpacks and school supplies, it’s about helping students start the year feeling confident and ready to learn.

Thanks to our incredible volunteers, local students from Seattle White Center had the opportunity to shop for new school clothes and essentials for the year ahead. A little support can make a big difference on the first day of school. 🎒📚

The devastation left behind by the Spokane-area wildfires is difficult to put into words.

On the ground, The Salvation Army is walking alongside individuals and families impacted by the fires—listening to their stories, providing practical assistance and offering compassionate care during an incredibly difficult time.

At the Disaster Assistance Center and throughout affected communities, our teams are helping connect survivors with food, water, clothing assistance, essential resources and spiritual care as they begin to navigate what comes next.

The road to recovery is just beginning, and the need remains great.
