Giving children a healing experience in foster care. Our Development Office is located in Woodinville, WA where we receive all mailed donations.

At Bridge Receiving Center, we provide trauma-responsive care to help children reduce their felt trauma and start them on the path to healing. Bridge Receiving Center is located in an undisclosed location in Snohomish County to protect the safety of the children we serve.

At Bridge, we believe that trauma responsive care means caring for the whole child which includes caring for their hair. For our African American youth, this is not just hair care but also keeping them connected to their culture and communities.

But with the high cost of hair care these days, our staff took it upon themselves to learn the right way to care for every child’s hair.

Now they can help every child feel loved and cared for from head to toe.

Because hair care is part of trauma care and helping every child to feel safe, known and that they belong.

Our 8-year-old out soaking up the sunshine at the park with lots of smiles and laughter to go around🌞 What a gift it is when kids in foster care transitions can lay down their worries for a time and simply enjoy themselves. 🫶

Cookies, anyone? It’s always such a treat (pun intended) when we have a child in the house who loves to bake. J takes his baking to the next level with all the care and commitment of a professional baker.

And, boy, does the house smell delicious!

Being able to care for others, doing something that reminds them of home in positive ways…all part of a child feeling safe enough to begin to do the work to heal from trauma in their lives.
