At our 2026 NWFL Festival, our archivist and their intern in collaboration with the Smithsonian Folklife team were able to present a Story Booth where festival attendees shared their stories, songs, and memories in the International Pavilion gallery and archive studio.

Participants were able to freely speak on their own or with a group, be in conversation with an interviewer, or contribute through writing or drawing instead of audio recording.

These contributions will become part of the Northwest Folklife archive collections, so thank you to everyone who participated!
