Join us for a fun, hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to preserve fresh, seasonal flavors safely and confidently. Whether you’re brand new to canning or looking to strengthen your skills, this class will guide you through the essentials of home preserving
while you create delicious homemade favorites.
What We’ll Make
• Classic Pickled Cucumbers
• Traditional Cucumbers in Brine
• Spicy Marinated Zucchini
• Homemade Seasonal Fruit Jam
What’s Included:
You’ll receive all recipes, step-by-step instructions, practical tips for successful canning, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions along the way.
What You’ll Take Away:
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with new skills, tested recipes, and the confidence to recreate everything at home.
Come ready to learn, laugh, and take home the taste of summer.
You do not need to be a member to attend, although we require a reservation.

Don't worry if you did not get your preorder in, we will have plenty of extras available this weekend. Saturday 5/16 and Sunday 5/17 10:00am-3:00pm
Please stop by SPD - Spring Valley Nature Center & Heritage Farm to see all the varieties of tomato plants (50 different kinds!!-Seriously!), the peppers, cucumbers and so many great herbs!! (about 40 different kinds of herbs!)

Spring Valley Nature Club is a Not-for-profit organization and all the profits from the sale go back into sponsoring some great programs at the Spring Valley Nature Center as well as donating for special projects at Spring Valley. That is just 1 reason to order your plants from us, rather than giving your money to the big box stores!
The other reason is because we have more varieties than most stores and a vast array of plants available.
