Our meetings are the Second Thursday of every month at 7:00 PM at the Schaumburg Community Barn (Senior/Teen Center), 231 S.

The Schaumburg VFW Post earned All-American Post honors for the 2025 - 2026 VFW Year.

This is a huge honor for any Post to get, and happy to have earned it.

The last time it was earned by the Schaumburg Post was the 2020 - 2021 VFW Year.

Happy 250th Birthday America!! 🇺🇸 🇺🇲 🇺🇲 🇺🇲

While our Post did not officially participate in the 4th of July Parade today, some of us are part of the American Legion Post.

Some of us could not sit idly by and needed to do this.

Friendly reminder that the Schaumburg VFW Post has a retired flags box at the Village of Schaumburg, Illinois Government Municipal Building.

This is how the veteran member who picked up the retiring flags saw it yesterday.
This is pretty sad 😔 to see.

Please Do Not:
1) Leave the flags on the poles.
2) Put plastic packaging 📦 or bags in the box.
3) Put paper or trash 🗑 in the box.
4) Put plastic flags or flags magnets 🧲 in the box (these are to be discarded, as they are not able to be retired - cloth or nylon flags only).

Remember that thousands of men and women have served under the flag.

Note: Flag Day is June 14th.

Please leave it looking respectable for those visitors to the building.

📣 Two opportunities to show up for our community.📣

Giving Group is looking for volunteers for two upcoming service efforts, and we would love to have a few extra helping hands.

𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟯 | 𝟵:𝟬𝟬 𝗔𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠
We are helping our local VFW sell poppies at Valley Produce and around the four corners of Higgins and Roselle.

We are looking for 3 to 4 volunteers to help support this meaningful tradition and stand with those who have served.

𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟴 | 𝟭:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝘁𝗼 𝟯:𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗠
We will be packing food for the Muir Elementary Summer Food Program, helping make sure local families have support during the summer months.

We are looking for about 20 volunteers for this effort.

Whether you can give a few hours, bring a friend, or help us spread the word, your time makes a real difference.

On Saturday, 5/2, our VFW Post did our spring road cleaning for the Adopt A Highway cleanup.

We had a small but mighty crew that put the work in to help the Village of Schaumburg look good. 👍 😀

The Schaumburg VFW Post has a retired flags box at the Village of Schaumburg, Illinois Government Municipal Building at 1000 Woodfield Road.

This is the Village Hall building while the new location is being constructed at 101 Schaumburg Court.

Feel free to drop off the flags during business hours.
