Before every race, Kat writes one word on her arm. Jenner. 🖊️

That's how she carries her mom with her.

This October, Kat and her sisters run the Dublin Marathon. For Make Today Count Monday, MyBFF is cheering them on. Every dollar they raise goes straight to the American Cancer Society.

Their mom, Jenny, was a runner through and through. Up at 4 a.m. on weekdays. Weekend miles through the hills. Six marathons done. Chicago finished. Boston was next.

Then, in January 2011, came a cervical cancer diagnosis.

Jenny kept her runner's spirit through all of it. She died on September 7, 2013.

Now her daughters carry her forward. 26.2 miles through Dublin. It's the same race Jenny ran in 1999, at 30. The same age Kat is now.

💛 WHAT. A. DAY! 💛

More than 100 participants joined us on August 8 for our 7th Annual MyBFF 5K/8.13K Walk/Run at Judson University, and together we raised over $19,000 to help our Friends and families impacted by cancer!

We simply cannot say THANK YOU enough.

💜 Thank you to everyone who walked, ran, donated, volunteered, sponsored, purchased raffle tickets, cheered us on, and helped make the day possible.

💜 Thank you to the incredible volunteers and student-athletes from Judson University Athletics who helped us throughout the event.

💜 And a huge thank you to Judson University for once again opening its campus to us and providing the space that allows us to bring the MyBFF family together for this special event.

🎟️ Our raffle was incredible this year! 42 prizes valued at more than $10,000! Congratulations to all of our winners, and thank you to everyone who donated prizes and purchased tickets.

💵 Our 50/50 raffle raised $200, and our winner generously donated $50 of the winnings right back to MyBFF. That's what this community is all about.

Being a best friend doesn't always look the same.

Sometimes it's a phone call.
Sometimes it's dinner dropped off after a hard day.
Sometimes it's showing up for a Saturday morning walk.

MyBFF exists so people facing cancer have a community, not just a diagnosis. That's what we do every day. Share this with someone who needs it. 💙

The Seventh Annual MyBFF 5K/8.13K Walk is officially in the books.

Judson University was filled with people showing up for Friends living with cancer and families who have lost someone they love.

We walked in honor of Rod Wittig, Sharon Berryhill, and every person who has needed a best friend along the way.

Saturday morning, people laced up their shoes and showed up. In person on the course at Judson University. Virtually, miles away. All of them walking for someone.
