Finishing 5th at Fall Scenic City in the 14u Division last year earned our 16u Sluggers National Fastpitch an early invite back to one of the premier fall showcase tournaments in the country!

We’re excited for the opportunity to compete against some of the best teams in the game, showcase our athletes, and continue chasing greatness on a national stage.

This talented group of athletes is ready to compete, develop, and represent Sluggers National Fastpitch throughout the upcoming season.

We’re looking forward to a great year filled with hard work, great competition, lasting memories, and plenty of opportunities to grow both on and off the field.

We wrapped up our final season as the Illinois Sluggers at the Triple Crown Nationals in St. Louis, and what a way to finish.

Competing in an invitation-only event loaded with elite teams from across the country, our girls earned their way into the Gold Bracket and finished tied for 13th overall. Considering the level of competition, it’s an accomplishment they should be incredibly proud of.

The temperatures were relentless, and with a shortened roster due to injuries, every player was asked to do a little more. They answered the challenge with toughness, resilience, and heart. We experienced moments of excellence throughout the week, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity to coach this team.

Over the past 20 years, every team I’ve had the privilege to coach has left its own unique mark. This group was no exception. We consistently challenged them against some of the best competition in the country, and they embraced those challenges, grew as athletes, and matured as teammates.

As one chapter closes, another begins. Next season we proudly transition to Sluggers National Fastpitch, and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead. We’re looking forward to building something special, embracing new challenges, and continuing to develop outstanding young women while competing against the very best teams in the nation.

Thank you to every player, parent, coach, and supporter who has been part of this journey. The Illinois Sluggers chapter may be ending, but the pursuit of excellence continues.
