🍬 Trick-or-Treat Through the Market – Bring your treat bags and visit our amazing vendors for Halloween goodies!

🎃 Costumes are encouraged for kids, adults and four-legged friends alike!

🌱🚜 FARMER SPOTLIGHT | Meet the Family Behind the Farm! 🥬🦆

At the Downtown Sarasota Farmers Market, we love sharing the stories of the hardworking families who grow our food. Today, we’re sharing one farmer’s story in his own words. ❤️ Meet The family behind The Greener Garden.

“I have been gardening since I was a young schoolboy, with a corner of my mother’s garden to experiment with. I didn’t grow up on a produce farm, but my mother did, and I probably got my love of gardening from her.

My wife, Amanda, grew up on a produce farm in Wisconsin. We married in 2022 with the dream of raising a family in a farm setting. We have three children, who all love to be outside as much of the time as possible.

In 2025, I switched to full-time work at home on the farm.

🌱 We choose to raise our produce organically, not because it makes more money for us, but because we believe it is the best way for food to be produced.

Our goal is to raise healthy, nutrient-rich produce while caring for the soil through compost, cover crops and organic growing practices.

🦆 Our farm is also home to a flock of egg-laying ducks. They spend time on pasture each day and love feasting on extra vegetables. The sale of their eggs helps support our little family.

❤️ Making a living on a small farm can be very challenging. We believe that God is providing for us by giving us the opportunity to sell our products at the Sarasota Farmers Market, and we are excited to be vendors there.”
