Una is a 4 year old 20lb Klee Kai mix - a spirited, affectionate, high-energy dog with a huge personality and an even bigger heart. With her people, she is incredibly loving—she loves to cuddle and give kisses, wrestle and play with other dogs, and be part of her pack. She has a strong prey drive and is happiest when she has room to move, explore, and put those instincts to work; if you have a country property, ranch, farm, or a field with too many gophers, Una may be exactly the dog you’ve been looking for. She is healthy, spayed, microchipped, and crate trained. We believe her ideal home would have plenty of outdoor space, no cats or children, and ideally another compatible dog for company. A doggie door or easy access to a secure outdoor area would be a big plus.
Una is very much a “home and family” dog rather than a dog who wants to accompany you everywhere. Unfamiliar places and busy environments can overstimulate her, and when highly aroused she has nipped people’s heels or legs. She has inconsistent reactions to strangers. She needs an experienced, attentive owner who understands reactive dogs and will manage those situations responsibly. She can also be protective of her home and strongly bonded to her people.
We are rehoming her because changes in our work and schedules mean we are away from home more, and we can’t give her the space, structure, and lifestyle she really needs. In the right environment—somewhere quieter, roomier, and suited to her energy and instincts—we think Una has the potential to be an extraordinarily devoted and loving companion.
