We had the privilege of attending Los Cien’s recent event, and we walked away feeling deeply moved by the power of community leadership.

First, a massive thank you to Sonoma Clean Power for generously sponsoring our table and making our attendance possible. We appreciate your continued support and partnership! 🙌

We want to extend a huge CONGRATULATIONS to all of the well-deserved Puente y Ganas Award recipients. Your dedication is truly the heartbeat of our community.

Here are the phenomenal leaders recognized this year:

Individual Award 🏅 | Ezequiel "Zeke" Guzman
Zeke is an incredibly inspiring leader and a fierce advocate, serving the farmworker community with true corazón. Through his work with La Cooperativa Campesina and as a co-founder of La Familia Sana and Los Jardines del Pueblo, he has dedicated his life to fighting local food insecurity. We are so grateful for your vital impact, Zeke!

Organization Award 🏫 | Rancho Cotate High School MEChA
This inspiring group of students represents every Spanish-speaking background, including Equatorial Guinea. They aren't just doing community work and celebrating cultural events; they are true advocates who even succeeded in bringing the Mexican Consulate to Rohnert Park. The future is bright with these students leading the way!
Campeona Award 👑 | Donna Zapata
Recognized for her exceptional community service leadership and her invaluable role providing informal mentorship to other Latino leaders. Donna lifts others as she climbs, strengthening our entire leadership ecosystem.

Thank you to Los Cien Sonoma County for hosting such a beautiful event, and to all the honorees for paving the way toward a more equitable and connected community.

Premio Campeona 👑 | Donna Zapata

Our community is so much stronger thanks to North Bay Motorcycle Association! 👶✨

They have been absolute champions for us all year long—volunteering their time and keeping our families supported with diaper donations. They surprised us with another wonderful donation, which will go straight toward funding our Early Head Start Prenatal program.

Thank you for your endless generosity and for always showing up for our littlest ones and expecting parents!

That coffee can full of coins sitting on your counter? It’s time to put it to work!

We are on a mission to raise $10,000 for Sonoma County families. At Sonoma CAN, we meet our neighbors right where they need it most—providing emergency basic needs, quality early childhood education, vital mental health services, and crucial care coordination.

You don't need a massive budget to be a hero. Look at how quickly your spare change adds up to a massive impact:

$7 guarantees a Head Start child receives a healthy breakfast and lunch during their school day. 🍎
$25 provides creative art supplies for our local family playgroups. 🎨
$150 funds essential mental health services for a family navigating a crisis. 💙

🕒 Ready to be a Change for Change Hero?

We’ve made it incredibly easy to turn your spare coins into community action. Choose the way that works best for you:

1. Drop & Go: Bring your loose coins straight to our office and toss them into our designated jar. We’ll handle all the heavy lifting (and counting!). 2250 Northpoint Pkwy, Santa Rosa
2. Cash In & Gift: Stop by your local bank or a Coinstar Kiosk to exchange your coins, then bring the cash donation directly to us.
3. Donate Online: Cash in your coins at your convenience, then make a matching donation online at https://www.sonomacan.org/take-action/give/ .

Every cent counts. Every dollar changes a life. Thank you for standing with Sonoma County families!

🎉 Congrats to our 13 ALAS Graduate Families! 🎓 ¡Felicidades!

Our ALAS (Achieve, Lead, Advocate, Soar) program was a huge success! While the kids had a blast playing, parents learned all about their child’s development. Early education is key, and supporting the whole family is how we win together! 🚀

🌟 Thank you to our fabulous teachers for making this happen, and a special thanks to Denisse Madrigal, First 5 Program Manager, for sharing her inspiring story with us!

Keep soaring, graduates! ✨

¡Sigan volando alto, graduados! ✨
