Today we represented California's Learn the Signs, Act Early program at the Early Start Partners Symposium! While our industry is facing a lot of uncertainty, it's uplifting to see the passion of teachers remains strong. It also is always wonderful to see the resources other programs are sharing for our shared mission.

Pregnancy loss is something that society often still struggles to talk about, as though there is some kind of shame associated with pregnancy issues. There shouldn't be, and if you've experienced these challenges, you are NOT alone.
In fact, between 10-20% of all pregnancies end in a miscarriage...and that is only those that we know of. That doesn't include pregnancies that end before the person knows they are pregnant.
If you are struggling, we encourage all parents to reach out for support. First 5 California also has a fantastic blog on this topic that some may find helpful.

We are a little more than a week out from our annual BOO BASH! Show off those costumes and join in the festivities on Friday, October 23rd from 3pm-5pm! The event is open to all ELI families, and dressing up is encouraged but not required.

Any bets on what the big costume this year will be? My guess: a hurt 49ers player!

"California’s final budget rejects the governor’s proposal to cut 6,798 currently funded childcare spaces and instead includes an additional $269 million to add 22,770 slots. The budget also includes a 2% cost-of-living adjustment to all subsidized childcare providers and additional $36 million in one-time funds for childcare facilities affected by natural disasters between 2023 and 2025."
