While Christina and Set were off on a much needed vacation in Hungary, a little striped surprise was quietly waiting for them back home. 🐾
The moment they returned to the office, they noticed a beautiful tabby cat peeking through the windows like she had an appointment. Not feral. Not scared. Just… hopeful.
They scooped her up and brought her to Forgotten Felines for a health check, expecting a simple stray-cat story.
Instead, the shelter called with shocking news:
“She’s been spayed… and she’s lactating.”
Somewhere out there, this sweet mama had babies waiting for her. 😭
An urgent kitten search began immediately. Every bush, alley, and hiding spot was checked. Nothing. And because mama was recovering from surgery, she couldn’t be released right away to lead the way.
The next day, Christina and Set picked her up, attached an AirTag to her collar, and decided to trust her instincts.
Mama CAT TOOK OFF.
They followed her nearly HALF A MILE away to an equipment rental yard. When they asked the workers if they’d seen kittens, nobody had… but the staff promised to help search.
Christina and Set returned to their offices.
Then came the phone call that changed everything:
“WE FOUND THEM.”
The kittens were trapped deep inside a workbench that nobody could access. Without hesitation, the workers literally dismantled the entire workbench to save them. 🛠️❤️
One by one, tiny fuzzy babies were pulled to safety. Mama was reunited with them. And suddenly this scared little family was warm, fed, and purring safely together at the Cat Lounge after proper exams at the Rohnert Park Animal Shelter.. 🥹
The kittens are estimated to be about 3 weeks old, and many already have loving homes lined up — including mama! But we still have kittens left from this litter and other wonderful cats and kittens waiting for their happily-ever-after.
Come visit the Cat Lounge, meet the crew, and maybe fall in love with your next family member. 🐱☕💕
