Day 2 at CNCH2024 was just as fun. Rosalie Neilson's Marudai class spilled out into the hallway for a little extra elbow room. Susan Iverson's Pulled Warp Tapestry class rearranged the tables in their small classroom to make it work. Snug as a bug in a rug!

CNCH 2024 workshop registration is closed and just one Virtual Seminar still has a few spots left. If you use Fiberworks and want an in-depth look at converting patterns, this is the class for you.

Friday April 26, 2024 10 am – noon PDT
Jen Weber Fiberworks: Converting Overshot Drafts to Patterned Doubleweave Drafts
Did you know that any Overshot draft can be woven as a 4-shaft Doubleweave? Doubleweave can alleviate the problem of long floats in some overshot patterns. Jen will demonstrate the threading conversion in Fiberworks in this 2-hour seminar.

Jen has been a fiber addict since the early 2000s. She adores designing with weaving software, and admits she can spend more time at the computer than in front of the loom! She is a member of various regional fiber arts guilds, Complex Weavers, and the Japanese Temari Association. She strives to make "heavy" topics understandable for all her students.

We are using Lessonface, a live online learning platform, to host the seminars. The teachers will be Zooming in live to deliver their presentations. Lessonface records each session, accessible for 30 days to all who have registered for the class. Even if you don’t have time to watch live, you can watch the video later.

CNCH 2024 registration is closed but join us at the hotel for some fun events during the conference.

We are opening our conference to the public during the day on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27. On Friday we’ll have maker demonstrations and on Saturday, a Local Talent Market. We’ll have handwoven items, yarn, fiber and more for sale.

You'll also be able to shop at the conference vendors and visit our Gallery while you are there. Don't miss out!

CNCH 2024 workshop registration is closed but our Virtual Seminars still have a few spots left. We realize that not everyone can attend a conference in person, and we wanted to give everyone an opportunity to learn together.

Marg Coe Gradations-Creating & Simulating
From image to palette to dye recipe! Marg will cover color terminology, explain additive and subtractive dye recipes and more. Create a gradation from color to color, and emulate a warp with 3 colors, then simulate a warp with your own structure.

Calling all weavers!

Monday, March 25, 2024 is the last day to registration for a class at CNCH 2024. Registration closes at 5pm sharp! Don't miss this opportunity to take classes from well-known weaving instructors. All of the classes are accessible for beginners as well as informative for more advanced weavers.

The conference isn't just about the in-person workshops. We have vendors, a gallery, silent auction, and more. The best part will be hanging out with people who love the fiber arts just as much as you do.

Learn how to weave woven weft Shibori, dye paint with Procion MX fiber reactive dye, and permanently pleat your scarf in Dottie Weir’s Loom Controlled Woven Shibori workshop at CNCH 2024.

Weavers have the unique opportunity to design every aspect of the cloth used for surface design, from the thread choice, the fabric density, and the woven structure and finishing process. Weavers are often hesitant to alter or work with the cloth after it is woven. However, the possibilities of applying dyes, paint resists or other finishing processes to the cloth reveal opportunities to personalize the fabric and set it apart.
