Last Friday Los Cien staff, board members, and BRIDGE Alum attended the 2026 BALEO (Bay Area Association of Latino Elected And Appointed Officials) Conference in Napa!

We had such an amazing time being in a room full of Latine leaders and organizations. A huge shout out to Andres Quintero & his team for putting this conference together and creating a space where we can learn from each other under the same roof. 🙌❤️

What a great CHARLA we had yesterday with Healdsburg Mayor Chris Herrod. Thank you, Mayor Herrod, for welcoming Los Cien staff and members into your council chambers for such a personal and thoughtful discussion!

The conversation highlighted key issues facing the community, including affordable housing, Latino and BIPOC representation on boards and commissions, district elections, and the future vision for the Abel De Luna Community Center. More importantly, it showed what’s possible when residents, nonprofits, and local leaders come together with openness, collaboration, and a shared commitment to community.

Charlas are an opportunity to build real relationships with local elected leaders, share lived experiences, and ensure our communities are represented in local decision-making.

Thank you again to Mayor Chris Herrod for hosting us and engaging so openly with our members. We invite more Los Cien members to join us at future Charlas. Your perspective matters, and your presence in the room matters too! 🧡

Wow, y’all packed the house! Thank you so much to everyone who attended Immigration Update 2026: Meeting the Moment with Truth, Resilience, and Courage 🦋. It was powerful to be in a room filled with people committed to protecting, supporting, and showing up for our immigrant communities.

We hope you were able to connect with new community resources during our pre-event networking and left feeling informed and reminded that none of us are in this work alone.

A huge thank you to our volunteers for helping this program run so smoothly!!! From our design team to our event volunteers, this gathering would not have been possible without your care, creativity, and hard work. We’re especially proud of the design team for helping bring this vision to life and creating a space rooted in community and solidarity. 🧡

And a special shoutout to Viviano for closing out the program with words that stayed with all of us: “Tu lucha es mi lucha, your fight is my fight”. 💪🧡
