Here at Happy Valley, we host all manner of events! Corporate conferences, educational events, religious retreats, summer camps and hobby groups are all welcome. We strive to deliver exceptional customer service and tailored hospitality to each o

f our guest groups. Accommodating up to 160 guests at a time, we offer a range of lodging and catering services, including nutritious meals complete with bread baked fresh daily and desserts made from scratch! In addition to the lodge and cabins, our scenic trails, swimming pool, ropes courses, volleyball court and large open lawn space provide ample opportunities to enjoy the outdoors here at Happy Valley. School is already starting for most of our kids, and it makes us think about all of the important moments this summer during camps. Here’s a look back at our Sierra Pacific Mission Center Middle School Camp just about a month ago, which was filled with friendships and adventures! Campfires, hiking, birthdays, tie-dye, games, crafts….and learning, building community, and creating core memories is what camp is all about! We are so glad that we have been able to be a part of so many groups making space for everyone to belong, grow, and connect this Summer!

Just yesterday, “The Redwoods Experience,” our Summer Camp Management Internship, and a major part of our Summer, concluded. It’s so bittersweet for us, to send interns back home, back to school, away from Happy Valley. Our intent is to help them develop core competencies for their professional futures, lasting memories of living-learning-working as part of a successful team, and life skills for their brilliant futures. This Summer’s cohort worked hard to support Happy Valley, provide sacred hospitality to a wide range of guests, and enjoy everything Santa Cruz has to offer – sun and ocean, fog and redwoods, music and inspiration, all embedded in the sacredness of creation in this special place. They join the long line and legacy of Summer interns here – now, almost 50 since 2013! We are so grateful to Olivia, Nemo, Thomas, Zion, and Talina for their hard work, their sharp minds, and their bright spirits. And, we are so lucky to have the company and skill of Olivia, Nemo, and Thomas for a bit longer, as these 3 continue their journey with us by remaining here at Happy Valley. We hope that when you visited us this Summer you experienced the kindness and welcome of this group of interns. Thank you, Summer Interns!
