📚Fun fact about Jon Scoville, Composer and Music Director for Tandy Beal & Co: He was the first employee of Bookshop Santa Cruz, even building many of the bookshelves! And he had to wear a tie and jacket!

🎼 Futurespective! The music of Jon Scoville, played live at Kuumbwa Jazz Center, Santa Cruz. Taking Jon’s MIDI files and arranging them for a jazz octet, is Jeffrey Gaeto who will also play keyboards. He grew up with Van Cliburn as his neighbor—and babysitter! Of course he’s a pianist!—and composer/musical director for Pickle Family Circus (20 years), Moscow Circus in Japan—and Olympic gold medalist, Kristi Yamaguchi.

wow-- we closed out the fall with a spectacular day of the our show " The Magic Carpet" with dancers and musicians from 5 cultures-- dance and music from the First People with Navajo Dancer and Lakota singer, Bali masked dance, Brazilian music and capoeira, Argentinian Tango and Mexican Folklorico...Wow! at the Mello Center with 2 shows in their lovely theatre holding 750 seats...did i say the crowd went wild?!! I on the other hand had tears running down my face to see all this beauty from all around the world--inspiring children to open their heart and minds to how many ways there are to be beautiful--and right!
