When you're hacking away at something you don't love, give your brain a time limit to work with. "I'll run for thirty more seconds." "I'll clean for 15 minutes."

Our brain will often endure a hassle if there's an end or a break in sight— but will shut down if there isn't.

Thank you to the dads, both biological and otherwise! The father-figures who helped people grow and feel supported, the step-dads that stepped up, the adoptive dads who took children into their care, and those who helped raise and provide for their blood relatives too!
