Today, Access Support Network honors World AIDS Day by remembering the lives lost to AIDS and celebrating the extraordinary progress made in HIV prevention, treatment, and care. Because of decades of advocacy, science, and community resilience, countless lives have been saved.

In the current political climate in the United States, we’re seeing not only a complete disregard by the Administration but reduced investment, stalled public-health funding, and growing threats to the critical services. These setbacks risk reversing decades of hard won gains especially for the most marginalized communities.

On this World AIDS Day, we recommit to the work: fighting stigma, expanding access to care, defending evidence-based policies, and advocating for the resources needed to end the HIV epidemic once and for all.

On this International Overdose Awareness Day, we:

-Honor those we've lost.
-Encourage treatment & recovery.
-Help communities build prevention capacity.

In Monterey County, ASN and CHSP will be hosting a free, public event at Bridge Street, Chinatown, tomorrow, August 29th, from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm.

In San Luis Obispo County, find ASN's table at the SLO Overdose Awareness Day event at Mitchell Park on Saturday, August 30th, from 12-3 pm.💜
