🎉 Congratulations to Transitions-Mental Health Association (TMHA) on receiving a $1,500 grant from the United Way of SLO County Youth Board!

The grant will help expand TMHA's high school program which provides mental health education, peer support training, and su***de prevention resources to more than 1,400 students each year throughout San Luis Obispo County.

By equipping young people with the tools to recognize mental health challenges, support their peers, and access local resources, TMHA is helping reduce stigma, build resilience, and create healthier school communities.

We're honored to support this vital investment in youth mental health and well-being. 💙

🎉 Congratulations to The Child Development Resource Center on receiving a $1,500 grant from the United Way of SLO County Youth Board!

This funding will help the CDRC expand classroom support for at-risk children, providing one-on-one classroom rehabilitation services for young children who have experienced trauma, homelessness, family instability, and other significant challenges.

By placing trained specialists directly in the classroom, the CDRC helps children build emotional regulation, communication, and social skills while creating a more supportive learning environment for all students.

We're proud to support this important work helping children enter kindergarten with the confidence and foundation they need to succeed. 💙

When there’s increased wildfire risk 🔥, utility companies may need to turn off power 🔌 as a last resort to ensure public safety. This is known as a Public Safety Power Shutoff, or PSPS. 211 PSPS Care Coordination connects utility customers with access and functional needs such as a disability, limited transportation, or other conditions for assistance who reside 🏠 in high fire-risk areas 🌳 to valuable resources before, during, and after a PSPS. Call 211 to see if you are eligible.
