Kesem at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Kesem is a nationwide community, led by passionate college student leaders, that supports children through and beyond their parent's cancer.

Kesem is a diverse community led by passionate and empathetic college students working to ensure that children facing the challenges of a parent’s cancer have space, connection, and support to rediscover the joys of childhood. Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a lasting community. Kesem at Cal Poly San Luis Obisp

o was founded in 2016 and supports children in the San Luis Obispo community by providing a free week-long summer camp experience and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by around 30 student volunteers and serves 30-40 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at more than 130 chapters coast-to-coast. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

We are looking for nurses to join our Health & Wellness Team!!

The physical and emotional safety of our campers is one of our top priorities, and we need your help to make sure they have the best support when they’re in our care this summer.
