Join us Saturday, June 20 for a free workshop on growing citrus and avocado trees in the home garden.
We’ll discuss best practices for growing citrus and avocado trees, look at the unique features of different avocado varieties, and cover common pest and disease problems for both citrus and avocados.
A plant sale will be happening before and during the workshop, featuring drought-tolerant plants suited to our Mediterranean climate and grown by our plant propagation team. Featured plants include white sage, red monkey flower, ‘Pozo Blue’ sage, Verbena ‘De La Mina,’ Ceanothus ‘Yankee Point,’ ‘Iceberg’ rose, and Penstemon heterophyllus. Proceeds support our program and future community education.
