Mothers for Peace The purpose of this page is to educate and share information regarding the activities of SLO Mothers for Peace and issues regarding nuclear power. Thank you!

A non-profit organization concerned with the local dangers involving the Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, and with the dangers of nuclear power, weapons and waste on national and global levels. The following guidelines are designed to help provide a quality environment for our members, friends and everyone. Please take a minute to read them and keep them in mind whenever you participate. Kindly

observe ethical behavior when posting or commenting. Any post or comment that would dwindle and put the reputation of this group at risk will be deleted. The deletion will serve as a warning and violators will be banned the next time

While debating and healthy discussions are fine, the admin will not tolerate rudeness, profanity, insulting and defamatory posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory comments. The following actions are unacceptable and will result in removal from this page:

This article (link below) shows that some of the increasingly large amounts of solar and wind power in California is being wasted, as the Diablo Canyon nuclear plant remains open. Diablo Canyon is not needed.

In addition, a recent RPHP report showed infant health in San Luis Obispo County is worsening.

Decades ago, county infant death and low-weight/premature birth rates were well below the state. But now, county rates are higher. Some factor(s) is causing this, with Diablo emissions one possibility.
