Since 1990, One Cool Earth has planted over 20,000 native plants throughout San Luis Obispo County. Our organization's history with native plant restoration helped us plant our roots in the community.

We’ve had quite the year at Vineyard Elementary! We served 2385 taste tests to students, taught 156 garden lessons, harvested 224 lbs of produce and flowers from the garden, and the green team prevented 315lbs of food waste from going to the landfill. We had two community garden workdays, one family cooking night and one school wide waste audit. We are so grateful for our partnership with the Vineyard Elementary School and can’t wait to be back for the 26/27 school year!

These last few weeks at Templeton Elementary we’ve been enjoying all beautiful flowers that are blooming in the garden. We’ve been drawing them, making nature bracelets, and bouquets. We also have been planting seeds so we have more flowers to enjoy when we get back from summer break. We look forward to seeing you again in the fall Eagles 🦅 🌻 Templeton Elementary School PTO

San Luis Obispo County, Stand Up! 📣
Join us Wednesday, June 24 for a town hall to learn how the attack on the Roadless Rule could impact Los Padres National Forest and local public lands.

For 25 years, the Roadless Rule has protected millions of acres of intact national forest from new roads, large-scale logging, and mining, including more than 635,000 acres in and around Los Padres National Forest.

Now, the U.S. Forest Service is proposing to roll back these protections while limiting public input in the process.

Together, we can show that our communities are paying attention—and that we will fight to protect our forests.

Mud kitchen magic all year long!✨
As we reflect on the year at Play Grove we remember all the creations and imaginary play that happened at the mud kitchen. From mud cakes to pies to soups, children used natural materials in their play and got their hands dirty!
