SLOLAF enjoyed being part of the SLO Chamber of Commerce Expo! 🎬✨ This year’s theme, “Lights, Camera, Business,” brought together more than 120 businesses and organizations, and we were proud to share about the services we provide to our community.

Our Finance and Administration Manager, Alicia Leigh, Executive Director, Stephanie Barclay, and Development Coordinator, Maia Mercer Densen, had a wonderful time connecting with attendees and fellow exhibitors. Thank you, San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, for hosting such a great event!

SLOLAF had the opportunity to visit the Cal Poly campus and speak with students in the Politics of Poverty course. Our Outreach and Communications Coordinator, Darius Rogness, shared about the work SLOLAF does to expand access to justice and provide legal support to community members who might otherwise face barriers to assistance.

It was an honor to connect with students who are passionate about making a difference in their communities. We are grateful for the opportunity to share our mission and the impact of this work. Thank you for welcoming us into your classroom!

We are pleased to welcome Patricia Ponce as the new Volunteer Coordinator for the SLOLAF team. She will support volunteer coordination, events, and outreach efforts, and we are excited for the experience and energy she brings to the role.

The SLOLAF team recently participated in a meaningful staff retreat, taking time to connect. Special shout out to Consultant Samantha Watkins for facilitating our meeting.

We explored our different leadership styles and gained a deeper understanding of how to best support one another—an investment that helps us work more effectively as a team in achieving our mission.
