Restorative Partners provides services and programs for those in-custody and for those released from the San Luis County Juvenile Hall, Jail, Honor Farm and State Prisons. Our restorative justice approach focuses on mind, body and spiritual transformation, incorporates trauma informed care, addresses responsibility and accountability, and offers accompaniment through reentry mentorship. We also provide clean and sober living homes for men and for women as well as own and operate a home for women who are ready to reunite with their children and move forward with their lives. The goal in all of our transformative work is to reduce violence and lower recidivism by providing a continuum of care from incarceration through reincorporation to our community.

How do we keep human dignity at the center of a world shaped by artificial intelligence? 💭

On Saturday, October 3, Restorative Partners hosted a community-wide conversation on Magnifica Humanitas at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Community in San Luis Obispo.

With panelists Dr. Theresa Migler, Daryl Grigsby, and Dr. Keith Abney, the gathering explored artificial intelligence, ethics, equity, and what it means to remain deeply human. Presentations and small-group conversations created space to listen, reflect, and consider our shared responsibility in a changing world.

🌍 Restorative practices across the globe!

This summer, our very own Andrew traveled to Johannesburg, South Africa to participate in the Global Dialogue Lab with Seeds of Peace, hosted by the African Leadership Academy.

During the program, Andrew learned alongside educators and dialogue practitioners from all over the world, developing skills in facilitating peace dialogue and adaptive leadership. The experience explored how to navigate difficult conversations, work with different dynamics among youth, foster deeper understanding through dialogue, and examine systemic issues that shape conflict.

Andrew returned home with new skills, new perspectives, and a renewed commitment to dialogue and restorative practices. Bringing what he learned across the globe back to the work happening right here in our community. 💙🌎

For 15 years, our work has been made possible by people who believe in second chances, restoration, and the power of community. Whether you’ve been with us from the beginning or recently became part of our story, you are part of the impact we’ve made together.

We've looked back at where we began, the mission that continues to guide us, the people behind the work, the programs that create pathways forward, stories of restoration, milestones, growth, and so many memories along the way.
