The Society for Human Resource Management at San Jose State University, or SHRM @ SJSU, seeks to develop its student-members into successful HR members. SHRM @ SJSU is a student chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, or SHRM. SHRM @ SJSU is also an affiliate of the Northern California Human Resources Association of Santa Clara Valley Chapter, or the NCHRA of Santa Clara Valley. Stud

ents are given the opportunity to network with professionals and other students who share their interest in Human Resources. SHRM @ SJSU brings in different guest speakers to talk about current trends and practices in various industries. Students also benefit from leadership, internship and scholarship opportunities.

As the Director of Public Relations, Kaleena oversees all strategic marketing efforts, supporting and leadings a small team of officers to ensure all content aligns with SHRM’s brand. She plans PR team meetings, updates team on upcoming content, and also helps finalize and review all content before it is published.

We are proud to introduce our VP of Marketing, Kayla!

As the VP of Marketing, Kayla oversees SHRM at SJSU’s social media presence by creating event flyers and promotional content, capturing photos and videos at events, and ensuring members stay informed through consistent updates. She works closely with the Director of PR to carry out marketing strategies and serves as the primary point of contact on social media. She also collaborates with other officers to gather accurate information about events and applications.

We are proud to introduce our Finance & Marketing Coordinator, Rosemary!

As the Finance and Marketing Coordinator, Rosemary helps manage the chapter’s finances by filing reimbursement forms, monitoring club revenue and expenses, and reviewing SHRM membership payments. Along with that, she also support our marketing PR team by brainstorming captions for social media content, capturing photos and videos during events, and uploading content onto Google Drive for revision and editing.

As the Marketing Coordinator, Kaylee helps assists the Director of Public Relations and VP of Marketing with their daily tasks to help keep SHRM running smoothly and creatively! She helps with creating our biweekly newsletter, writing captions for Instagram posts, and designing banners for event RSVP forms, to keep our SHRM community connected, informed, and engaged!

As VP of Student Development, Parjot assists the VP of Membership with recruitment efforts and member outreach for upcoming events, and co-hosts social events alongside the VP of Events. She also creates engagement surveys throughout the semester, as well as organizes and hosts SHRM fundraisers, and connects with members for member spotlights.
