Las Madres Neighborhood Playgroups, through its membership, provides a network of age-based neighborhood playgroups for parents and caregivers with children ages 0-5 across Santa Clara County. In 1953 a group of women were in a Palo Alto at a childbirth class and that's where they came up with the idea of Las Madres. It is wonderful to think of all the friendships and communities that have been fo

rmed through Las Madres over the years and those still to come. Operating with a majority volunteer run non-profit, Las Madres also focuses on advancing parenting education for our local community, with a free annual Education Fair, monthly speaker nights, and much more. To join one playgroup the annual cost is $75, there are additional costs for joining more playgroups. Our membership gives you access to playgroups in your neighborhood, Las Madres wide events, online forums and our member discounts with local businesses. The Las Madres Story

Las Madres Neighborhood Playgroups, through its membership, provides a network of age-based neighborhood playgroups for parents and caregivers with children ages 0-5 across Santa Clara County.

We were formed in 1953 by women in a Palo Alto childbirth class and we are now 65th year! It is wonderful to think of all the friendships and communities that have been formed through Las Madres over those years and those to come.

Operating as a 100% volunteer run non-profit, Las Madres also focuses on advancing parenting education for our local community, with a free annual Education Fair, monthly speaker nights, and much more.

To join one playgroup the annual cost is $75, there are additional costs for joining more playgroups. Our membership gives you access to playgroups in your neighborhood, to our Las Madres wide events, to our on line forums and our member discounts with local businesses. If you wish to trial our membership before becoming a full member you can trial for FREE for 60 days.
