The whiplash of cold rainy days to heat advisories has been intense, but the people we’ve met along the coast have made each day a little easier! It feels like every SAG stop and camp includes meeting a new person who wants to learn more about the cause. The words of encouragement and connections to the cause we’ve learned from strangers along the way are so meaningful and encourage us to keep going. Taking things one day at a time!

We struggled with so much rain and mud during our first week… on day 4, we woke up to our tent leaking and we were feeling defeated. We randomly called to ask about a donation and they told us to come in the next morning for breakfast. When we arrived, they had the tables all set up with flowers and gave us all a warm meal and coffee🥹 The extreme generosity after a tough couple of days brought us all to tears!!

It’s so beautiful to see communities come together and support what we’re doing. It only exemplifies our mission to bring awareness to the issue of s*x trafficking and raise funds for our beneficiaries doing such incredible work to support survivors and those vulnerable to being trafficked and 🤍

THE BEST JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER! ✨💛🏆 Every year, our team raises money for our main beneficiary, NCMEC. In addition to supporting NCMEC, we pick 3 other beneficiaries along the route. This is always a HARD decision to make, as there are so many amazing organizations giving their all to fight human trafficking.

We are SO EXCITED about this year’s beneficiaries! We are pleased to have some repeats (Safety Compass & NCRCCPC) and one new beneficiary (Huckleberry Youth Programs)! Each of these organizations wowed the 2026 team. We encourage you to look into these organizations, as what we share here is just the tip of the iceberg of all the amazing work they do!

When you think you don’t have more, you do. you keep pushing because there’s a version of yourself that’s on the other side. a version of yourself that is stronger, focused, and knowing that every push is worth it.

it’s almost been a week and this has been the most beautiful process ever. there’s been a lot of hard moments, a lot of moments where you are just trying to find joy in the little moments. but through it all we are growing as a group, learning to lean on each other. pedal IS growing together, seeing community show up for you, and showing up for yourself. I’ve talked to almost everyone on the team that describes how in the lowest moments we are thinking of the survivors out there, and that keeps us going. I am so excited for this journey, everyday teaches you a new thing. & to future finish line me, I can’t wait to meet you.
