We are truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support our San Diego community has shown our Ensenada community. ❤️

Many of you have never even been to Ensenada, yet you still opened your hearts and wanted to help. That alone moves us beyond words.

We are so incredibly grateful. Moments like these remind us just how beautiful humanity can be when people come together to lift one another up. Different communities, different sides of the border, but one shared heart.

This is what a rescue day looks like. 🐾

Some dogs come back with us and begin their journey toward forever homes. Others already have people who love them but need a little extra help. So while we’re out taking in dogs, we also bring food and NexGard to help protect community dogs from fleas/ticks/mange. 💙

Rescue isn’t always about taking a dog away from where they are. Sometimes the biggest impact we can make is giving families and their animals the resources they need to stay together.

We meet them where they are. We feed them. We protect them. We take in the ones who need us. And then we do it all over again. Want to be part of what we do? 💙

There are so many ways to help! If you’re a student at SDSU, join Baja Paws | SDSU and get involved. You can also volunteer, foster, adopt, share our posts, or donate. Even the smallest action helps us reach more animals.

We also have an upcoming spay & neuter campaign, and you can directly sponsor an animal’s surgery. 🐾 Preventing unwanted litters is one of the most impactful ways we can create long-term change in the communities we serve.

Can’t foster? Share. Can’t volunteer? Donate. Can’t donate? Share our dogs. Every bit of support matters. 💙

Together, we can help more animals and keep doing days like this. 🐶🐾

Sometimes rescue is simply helping in the moment. ❤️‍🩹

We couldn’t take every dog we came across into our care, but we could make sure they had full bellies and provide preventative treatment to help protect them from parasites.

For these dogs, that meant stopping, feeding them, giving them some care, and showing them kindness.

We took the first guy. We wish we could save every single one. We can’t. But that doesn’t mean we can’t make their day, their week, or their life just a little bit better.

Helping one animal may not change the whole world, but it changes their world in that moment. 🐾

From neglected, exhausted, and full of parasites… to healthy, happy, and completely full of life. Koda has come such a long way, and now he’s ready for the best chapter yet: his forever home.

• He’s only 4 months old and we think he’ll be about 35 pounds full grown
• He absolutely loves everyone he meets
• He’s a happy little mutt with the sweetest personality
• Most importantly, he has this incredible appreciation for life after everything he’s been through

Koda didn’t get the start every puppy deserves, but you’d never know it by the amount of love he has to give. He deserves a second chance, a family of his own, and a life where he never has to struggle again. 🤍
