Since its founding in 2007, Friends of Albert Einstein Academies (FOAEA) serves as the fundraising arm of AEA.

By providing financial support for a variety of AEA functions, FOAEA strives to supplement the Academies international, multi-lingual focus and develop respectful, responsible and caring citizens of a global community. FOOD & COAT DONATION DRIVE
When: Nov. 9th - 12th @ Drop-Off and Pick-Up.
Where: Main, TK & Kindergarten gates
Why: It’s the “Week of Giving” - Donations will go to PATH and San Diego Food Bank.
What: Gently used jackets. Suggested food: canned meats, canned veggies & canned fruits, nut butters, rice, pasta and soups. No glass containers.

LANTERNEN FESTIVAL:
When: Thursday, November 12, 6:00 pm.

Join us to celebrate the annual cultural celebration centered on the traditional German festival of St. Martin.

Lanterns: Please bring the lantern your student constructed at school. FoAEA will provide lights and lantern sticks free of charge.

Lantern walk: Students will carry their handmade paper lanterns and sing traditional German songs as we walk together down the Prado in Balboa Park, around the Bea Evenson Fountain, and back to the Spreckels Organ Pavilion. The walk is approximately 0.6 miles round trip.

Food and refreshments: FoAEA will offer light snacks and food for purchase, including traditional German Weckmänner (sweet bread)

Parking: Organ Pavilion Parking, located behind the Spreckels Organ, accessed via Presidents Way and Pan American Road East. After 6:00pm, the cost is FREE for all visitors (resident and non-resident). More information on parking can be found here: https://www.sandiego.gov/parking/balboapark.

1st Grade Families! Join us for the Brunch Bash!
When: Sunday, November 15, 9am-12pm
Where: Pepper Grove Park in Balboa park
Details: Bring a breakfast or brunch favorite to share (if you’d like), a blanket or chairs & come hang out with your 1st grade friends

The entire school is invited to a fun morning of Pancakes and Pajamas hosted by the 5th grade students and families.

We encourage you to wear pajamas for this special breakfast of pancakes, fruit, sausages, and juice.

When: Saturday, November 14, 9-11 am
Where: Elementary School MPR (entrance by the Kindergarten gate)
Why: The event is a fundraiser for 5th Grade field trips.

Wintermarkt is one of FOAEA's fun community events.
When: Sunday, December 6th 4-6pm.

What: Free event for kids to trick or treat.
Details: Pizza & drinks will be for sale.

The 4th Grade Beach Party is TOMORROW!
We hope to see all our 4th Grade families there!!!!

When: Friday, October 16, 3-6pm
Where: Leisure Lagoon Playground at 2081 E Mission Bay Dr.
What: A picnic for your family and/or a snack to share, beverages, and any beach gear you’d like (e.g., tents, chairs, blankets, tables, toys, etc.).

🔥 Interested in staying later? Bonfire pits may be available nearby if you’d like to bring wood and extend the fun!

Parking tip: Google Maps provides more accurate directions. Apple Maps may direct you toward the north parking lot instead. See the map below for reference.
