✨ What happens when three Black women–led organizations unite around one mission: community? 💫

A couple of weeks ago, our co-founder of had the privilege of presenting during the breakout session “From Solitude to Solidarity: The Blueprint for UNITY in Community” at the Live Well Advance Conference & School Summit, alongside , MPH, EMBA of and owner of

Together, they shared The Blueprint for Collaboration — showing what it looks like when nonprofits and businesses choose to build with one another instead of in isolation.

When we shift from
“mine vs. yours” → to → “ours”
and when we share resources, uplift one another’s missions, and create structures that allow our communities to thrive — powerful things happen.

This is the power of collaboration in action:
🌱 Collective impact grows deeper
🔁 Resources circulate wider
🎭 Culture is honored and protected
💫 Healing-centered leadership becomes possible

We are truly grateful to for the opportunity, the platform, and the recognition of this work. Thank you for creating space where collaboration isn’t just discussed — it’s practiced and uplifted. 🖤

For everyone building in wellness, education, and community spaces —
this is your reminder:

Collaboration isn’t optional…it’s essential.

When should you start checking?
✅ Self-exams: Begin in your 20s. Get familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel — that way you can notice changes early.
✅ Clinical breast exams: Every 1–3 years in your 20s & 30s, then yearly after 40.
✅ Mammograms: Most guidelines recommend starting at age 40, but talk to your doctor if you have family history or higher risk — you may need screening earlier.

Today, we honor the extraordinary life and legacy of Lt. Col. George Hardy — a true American hero and one of the legendary Tuskegee Airmen.

As one of the first Black military aviators in U.S. history, Lt. Col. Hardy flew combat missions in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, breaking barriers and paving the way for future generations. His courage in the skies and resilience on the ground embodied strength, dignity, and service.

More than a pilot, he was a mentor and storyteller who spent his later years educating young people about history, sacrifice, and the importance of perseverance.

We salute you, Lt. Col. Hardy. Thank you for your service, your example, and your legacy. 🕊️✈️❤️

Today we honor the life, struggle, and legacy of Assata Shakur — a revolutionary, writer, and freedom fighter who dedicated her life to the pursuit of liberation, justice, and truth.

Her words continue to remind us of the importance of courage, resistance, and self-determination in the face of oppression. She stands as a symbol of resilience, reminding us that the fight for freedom is ongoing, and that our voices and actions matter.

🌹 May we never forget her contributions.
✊🏾 May her spirit inspire future generations to stand strong in the struggle for justice.
🔥 Assata taught us that love, resistance, and freedom are inseparable.

🫀
Blood pressure is one of the biggest keys to heart health—and too many of us don’t know our numbers.

🥬 Beets, spinach, kale, arugula, celery—these greens are packed with nitrates that help your blood vessels relax and improve circulation. Real food, real impact.

👀 But here’s the real question:
➡️ Are you actually tracking your blood pressure?
➡️ Is it high? Low? Do you know your numbers?
➡️ Athletes—where do your numbers fall after training?

Let’s normalize checking, talking about, and improving our numbers—because prevention is power.

Drop a 💚 if you’re working on eating more of these heart-healthy greens, and tag someone who needs the reminder today.

Today marks one week.

We honor the life and legacy of Marnetter Herring — a force of love, strength, and purpose. A gospel singer, martial artist, mother, boxer, and advocate, she was a light in every room and a fighter in every sense of the word.

Ms. Netta is part of the why behind Fit, Black, and Educated, Inc. Her resilience and wisdom helped shape our mission. She poured into her daughter, our co-founder , who carries that torch in everything we do.

We ask that you please keep Mars and the Herring family lifted in your prayers during this time.

Let today be a reminder:
Celebrate life. Be inspired. Get your health screenings — and make sure our elders do too.
Because honoring our elders also means protecting their health while we still have them with us.

Please note: Our Juneteenth 5K will still take place this year, but it will look a little different as we move forward with love, gratitude, and reflection.

Rest in power, Ms. Netta. Your legacy lives on.
