💛 Our first Yiddish class for kids in La Paz, MX, was a success!

Everyone came together to sing, play, move, and learn Yiddish words, sounds, stories, and traditions. We are so happy to begin this interactive program into Yiddish language and culture with our community. ✨

No prior knowledge of Yiddish is needed, and there is still time to join us for the upcoming classes! 📚

🗓️ Every Monday until July 13, 7:00 - 7:45 p.m.

What does silence mean when it is written into law, tradition, and culture? 📖

Join our Board Member, Elizabeth Schwartz, known as “The Edith Piaf of Yiddish,” for an event titled “A Global History of Silence: Ancient Laws about a Woman’s Voice, from Ancient Greece to the Present.”🎙️

She will explore women’s voices across history and the inspiration behind her feminist shtetl horror anthology, “The Sweet Fragrance of Life.”

Important reminder: Early bird tuition for Beginner Judeo-Spanish (Ladino) classes with our experienced teacher, Esther Rute is available until this Sunday, May 31! 📚

It is a 5-class online course for anyone who wants to start learning Ladino from the very beginning. You will learn basic vocabulary, everyday communication, songs, stories, Sephardi culture, and more. 📖
