Friends of Crown Point Jr. Music Academy - Public Page CPJMA is a neighborhood and music magnet UTK - 5th grade school located in beautiful Pacific Beach. CPJMA educates children to be critical thinkers and problem solvers in a highly motivating, rigorous environment where academic growth is strengthened by the integration and study of music education. Students not only come from within our neighborhood boundaries, but also Choice in from all over the county to attend our school. Our music academy opened its doors in 2008, implementing the Suzuki violin music program. CPJMA is now known for our cultivation of students who have a deep appreciation and are proficient in the visual and performing arts.

We encourage all parents to be actively engaged at CPJMA. We have lots of volunteer opportunities. We are so fortunate to have an incredibly talented, creative and caring music teacher who provides 120 minutes of music instruction every week. We also have a top-notch strings teacher who provides violin instruction to our students, starting as early as kindergarten. Come check us out!

Celebrating an incredible honor for one of CPJMA’s very own! 🌟

Congratulations to Mrs. Aquilizan, our School Site Teacher of the Year, whose passion, dedication, and heart make such a lasting impact on our students, families, and school community every single day. From continuing professional learning in Environmental Literacy and Reading Recovery to creating a classroom where students thrive, she truly represents the very best of CPJMA.

We are so grateful for educators who pour so much into our children and our community. Thank you for your commitment, your positivity, and for helping make Crown Point such a special place to learn and grow. 💙💛

And a special shoutout to Principal Smith for fostering a culture where teachers are supported, encouraged, and inspired to keep growing.

Join us as we celebrate our amazing 5th graders together with an evening of community, memories, laughter, and firepit hangs before they head off to middle school. We’d love to gather one more time as a class and celebrate this special milestone together 💙✨

As we head into Mother’s Day weekend, we’re feeling extra grateful for the incredible moms, dads, and families who give their time, energy, creativity, and heart to our PTO all year long. These volunteers help create the programs, events, and experiences that make Crown Point Junior Music Academy such a special community for our students, teachers, and families. 💙

Our final PTO meeting of the year was also a bittersweet one as we celebrated and said goodbye to a few amazing members whose kids are heading off to middle school next year. A huge thank you to our PTO President, Kelly and Alicia for the countless hours, leadership, care, and dedication you’ve poured into our school community. Your impact will be felt for years to come.

Thank you to every parent, volunteer, teacher, and supporter who helped make this year such a success. And happy birthday !
