CPJMA is a neighborhood and music magnet UTK - 5th grade school located in beautiful Pacific Beach. CPJMA educates children to be critical thinkers and problem solvers in a highly motivating, rigorous environment where academic growth is strengthened by the integration and study of music education. Students not only come from within our neighborhood boundaries, but also Choice in from all over the county to attend our school. Our music academy opened its doors in 2008, implementing the Suzuki violin music program. CPJMA is now known for our cultivation of students who have a deep appreciation and are proficient in the visual and performing arts.

We encourage all parents to be actively engaged at CPJMA. We have lots of volunteer opportunities. We are so fortunate to have an incredibly talented, creative and caring music teacher who provides 120 minutes of music instruction every week. We also have a top-notch strings teacher who provides violin instruction to our students, starting as early as kindergarten. Come check us out!

The drama. The suspense. The pies. Our top Jog-a-Thon fundraisers got to pie a teacher, staff member, or parent in the face, and let’s just say… this assembly did not disappoint. 😂

It's finally here — Jog-A-Thon week 👟! Our students will lace up their sneakers and hit the field on Thursday, September 24 to run, jog, and walk their way toward this year's goal of $45,000 for CPJMA programs — science, art, music, PE, library, field trips, and after-school tutoring all depend on it 🎉

Run Day Schedule (9/24):
- TK/K: 8:00–8:20 AM
- 1st–3rd: 8:30–8:50 AM
- 4th/5th: 9:00–9:30 AM

Don't forget: 💧water bottle ☀️ sunscreen 👕 🧦 change of clothes (shirt & socks) & towel

There's still time to collect pledges to be the top fundraising class! Fundraising stays open through Wednesday, September 30 at 11:59am PST.

Don't forget to celebrate our jog-a-thon success at the family dance on Friday, September 25. Buy your tickets today! We will raffle off five CPJMA shark stuffies to those who purchased advanced tickets! ⚡💃🏻🕺🏻

Happy International Dot Day! ⚫️🎨

Mrs. Macker’s kindergartners celebrated by reading The Dot and discovering just how far a little creativity can go. Starting with one small black dot sticker, each student turned their page into a completely unique masterpiece. ✍️🖼️

We love seeing Mrs. Macker encourage our littlest artists to be brave, get creative and make their mark. Just look at these masterpieces! 💙✨

🎒✨ The first day of school is almost here!

We can’t wait to welcome our students back for another year of learning, music, and community at CPJMA!

Here are a few important reminders for Monday, August 10:

🕢 7:30 AM – Gates open (enter through the PB Drive gate by the school office)
🎶 7:37 AM – School begins
🕛 12:15 PM – UTK & Kindergarten dismissal (first week only)
🕑 2:10 PM – Dismissal for all other students

🎒 No school-supply shopping needed! Just bring a backpack, a water bottle, and a mind ready to learn.

At CPJMA, music becomes part of who our students are — and today, our 5th graders gave us one final performance to remember. Thank you, Ms. Freese, for helping these students find their confidence, their voices, and their love of music along the way.
