San Diego’s own Paola Diaz is taking the tennis world by storm! 🎾✨

From her standout college career with to coaching at UCSD and serving as Tournament Director at Barnes Tennis Center Paola built a powerful foundation right here in SoCal. 👐

Today, she travels the globe as the Senior Manager of WTA Player Relations, working directly with the top women’s professional players in the world! 🌍✈️ We are so proud to see how far her passion and hard work have taken her. Amazing job, Paola! 👏

🏆 A true champion on and off the court! 🎾✨
San Diego’s own Dana Mathewson is a legend in wheelchair tennis. A 3-time Paralympian, Dana capped off an incredible career in 2024 leaving behind an unforgettable legacy:
🔹 16 Singles Titles
🔹 32 Doubles Titles
🔹 1st American woman to win a Grand Slam title in a wheelchair (2022 Wimbledon Wheelchair Doubles Champion)
🔹 Top-ranked American woman in wheelchair tennis for much of her career

Now, Dana is taking her talents to the mic! 🎙️ Transitioning seamlessly into broadcasting and public speaking, she recently hosted interviews at the U.S. Open while continuing her mission to elevate adaptive sports on the global stage.

Kudos to Dana on an extraordinary career and inspiring next chapter! 👏

😃Don't Wait!😃 Today is the last day to apply for the Victor Stern Scholarship Grant sponsored by the SoCal Tennis Association Foundation to promising junior players ages 10 to 18 throughout Southern California. ⭐ We believe every young player should have the opportunity to grow through tennis, regardless of financial circumstances. The deadline to apply is TODAY!! ⏲️

Who is eligible?
🎾 Deserving junior players
🤝 Minority populations
💙 Low-income populations
📍 Juniors who live within the USTA Southern California Section

Important requirements:
🧡• Applicants must be 18 or younger✏️
🧡• Applicants must maintain a qualifying GPA⏲️
🧡• Good sportsmanship is required😃
🧡• Applicants may receive one scholarship grant per calendar year📅
🧡• Previous recipients may reapply 9 months after receiving funding, once their final report has been submitted
