Open Heart Leaders is a 501(c)(3) headed up by a young lady by the name of April Laster. The purpose of Open Heart Leaders is to restore broken networks and resources back into the underprivileged and what is classified as urban communities. Creating venues and outlets for the community to grow while exposing them to new programs and projects promotes unity and positive encouragement to reach new levels.

Open Heart Leaders is excited to launch Restoring Her, a trauma-informed maternal mental health and family wellness program created intentionally for young mothers who deserve a safe space to HEAL. GROW. THRIVE.
🌹 WHO CAN APPLY?
Young women who:
✨ Are ages 16–26
✨ Are currently pregnant OR gave birth between 2020–2026
✨ Live in or receive services within San Diego County
✨ Are ready to prioritize their emotional wellness, personal growth, parenting journey, and future
❤️ WHAT WILL YOU RECEIVE?
• 2 therapeutic group counseling sessions each month
• Up to 24 FREE individual counseling sessions
• Monthly wellness, educational & family activities
• Parenting & family-strengthening support
• Mental health & emotional wellness resources
• Financial, career & educational resources
• Case management & resource navigation
• Community connections, incentives & giveaways
• A supportive sisterhood of young mothers
• Graduation & family celebration 🎓
