TreeUtah is a statewide 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Our organization was founded with the goal of planting trees and teaching people about the importance of trees in our community. We plant trees on public lands across Utah, but our primary focus is along the Wasatch Front. TreeUtah has two main programs, supported by our volunteer outreach efforts. These progr

ams include Urban Forestry, which encompasses Ecological Restoration and Community Tree Planting, and Education for youth and adults. Over nearly three decades we have planted over 365,000 trees with the help of more than 160,000 volunteers.

Roots Disc Golf Course in Rose Park, saw the addition of many many new trees this spring season! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŒณ We worked with the SLC Tunnel Runners Club SLC Tunnel Runners and Salt Lake City Public Lands to make sure that the wonderful young trees are integrated into the existing course and provide functionality and beauty to the park. Weโ€™re so excited to watch these little ones grow and add additional much needed tree canopy to the west side of SLC! Thank you so much to all the volunteers who joined us (fluffy 4-legged volunteers as well ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿถ)!

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿšจ Saturday August 15th weโ€™re meeting at the Brighton Ski Resort at 9am to harvest spruce saplings that grew on the ski slopes over the summer! Weโ€™re going to collect them, place them in little pots and care for them until they are ready to be replanted in the mountains next year. Report to the green TreeUtah tent upon arrival to receive your objective!
Terrain is a bit challenging to traverse, so this event is recommended for experiences hikers.

Bringing a pack with water is a must. Dress for the weather and bring layers! High altitude spots like Brighton are a lot cooler than city areas. We will have trained staff and volunteers up there to guide you!
