Sixteen Utah communities voted to give their residents a choice: the option to power their homes with clean energy at a flat monthly rate.

That took years of neighbors showing up at city council meetings, and it’s worth celebrating.

Join us Monday, August 10th at Alpha Coffee in downtown Salt Lake. Stewardship Utah, Sierra Club Utah and HEAL Utah are co-hosting, and everyone is welcome, whether you’ve been organizing with us for years or you’re just hearing about this now.

We will be meeting at 6:30pm outside the Utah Sierra Club Office at the GREENbike station at 800S, 400W, SLC. We will then bike to, and south, along the Jordan River Parkway Trail. Families are welcome to join!

Today is the 120th anniversary of the Antiquities Act. The Antiquities Act gives the power to the President to designate National Monuments like our beautiful Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and precious Bears Ears National Monument. We are very grateful for this act as it was used to designate over 130 National Monuments and protect about 640M acres of public lands for all of us to enjoy and explore!
