Scholarship recipient Kendrick Wilson is a wonderful example of what determination, passion, and community support can achieve. ✈️

Over the past three years, Kendrick has earned three FOAWA Intermediate Scholarships, completed his first solo flight and Private Pilot License, and is working toward his goal of becoming a commercial pilot. He put his 2026 scholarship to work in just five months, logging approximately 20 hours in the air.

When he's not flying, Kendrick gives back by volunteering at his church and supporting the FOAWA Boy Scout Aviation Merit Badge Program. He's also shared the joy of flight with his mom, dad, grandma, sister, brother, and girlfriend.

As Kendrick puts it, "What I really like most about the program are the people. Aviation training is expensive, and FOAWA has stepped in to clear the hurdle to my commercial pilot path."

Congratulations, Kendrick. We're proud to be part of your journey and look forward to celebrating many more milestones ahead.
