Kenwood's first Pizza For Everyone Pop-Up night begins on September 27th at 6pm!

Historic Kenwood’s Annual Pizza Pop-Up By 15th St Farm just got a glow up! Wood-Fired Sourdough Pizzas made with fresh farm toppings to be passed and shared around the table with refreshing cold tea, followed by a meal featuring garden-fresh salad, wood-fired sourdough pizza with amazing topping options, and Emanuel’s famous flourless chocolate torte.

The City of St. Petersburg, Florida is joining the flock. Flock cameras that is! DeFlock St Pete is a new organization formed to oppose the use of Flock Automatic License Plate Reading cameras in St Pete, which they believe pose serious civil rights concerns. They will be holding an educational meeting on Saturday, August 15th @ 11:30am at the Barack Obama Library to help attendees understand what Flock cameras are, why DeFlock St Pete is opposed to them, and what we can do about it. They are inviting all St. Pete residents to attend for an open and respectful discussion. There are upsides and downsides. It's up to St. Petersburg, everyone from The Grand Central District to Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood, St. Petersburg, Florida to Historic Uptown Neighborhood to decide where they stand. All neighborhoods voices matter! Palmetto Park Neighborhood Association North Kenwood Neighborhood Association @ Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association (HONNA) Euclid St. Paul's Neighborhood Association Crescent Lake Neighborhood Association - CLNA - Please let share with all neighborhoods and parts of the city. This way people can understand the benefits and risks, as well as what direction they might want the city to take.

We will be covering History of Kenwood's Cafes, Nightlife and Shopping for America's 250! Many restaurants and bars have called Kenwood home over the years. One was Georgie's Alibi St Pete. One of St. Pete's first video bars! It was also a LGBTQ-friendly with a disco floor, food destination and sports bar that welcomed many people in. Cider Press Vegan Gastropub, Gateway Subs and Pepe's Catina have all called the Kenwood Shoppes home too.

Fun fact: It never actually closed. Only in Kenwood in 2015! So, yes you can still visit them in Wilton Manors, Florida today for brunch tacos! Add any places we missed. More coming soon.

Happy Pride Month! Will you be our volunteer?

HKNA is a big part of the St Pete Pride Street Fair being held in the The Grand Central District on Sunday June 28th. HKNA will have a booth where we'll share information about our neighborhood, newsletters, magazines, and sell merchandise and we are looking for volunteers to staff the booth. Bring your all!

The St Pete Pride Street Fair in the Grand Central District goes from Noon - 5pm and we have the following shifts available to staff the booth:
10:45 - 12:30pm: which includes set up (tent, tables, chairs, and merchandise)
12:30 - 2:00pm:
2:00 - 3:30pm
3:30 - 5:15pm: which includes tear down

4th Ave Tree Planting update!
Volunteers needed to plant trees. We will gather at 2342 4th Ave N at 8:00 a.am Saturday, May 30th. Bring your own shovel. Volunteers will be assign to one of five planting zones throughout HK. Let's make City of St. Petersburg, Florida amazing and Preserve the 'Burg!
