It’s August 1! Today marks the official start of our 70th program year.

We celebrate the 70 years of students, advisors, and volunteers that have made our program possible, and look to the next 70 years!! We can’t wait to see what this milestone year has in store.

Y-CORPS: Services in the Sunshine!! This week’s Throwback Thursday is to Y-CORPS 2016. Y-CORPS is a trip dedicated to serving the communities of Florida, all while bonding with your fellow delegates.

Maybe not technically a Throwback Thursday if the pictures are from State Assembly in April… but we wanted to remind all our graduated seniors that GA applications are currently open!

Join us in celebrating the 2026 Florida Conference on National Affairs delegation!!

7 delegations from across the state were represented on the mountain. We were so thrilled to return to YMCA Blue Ridge Assembly for the first time since Hurricane Helene.

James Zurick was awarded Outstanding Proposal for a federal ban on the LGBTQ+ panic defense in criminal cases. This proposal was also passed in Plenary! Only 12 proposals from the entire conference are given the opportunity to present in Plenary.

Aryana Sriram was also awarded Outstanding Proposal for a proposal to establish national standards for congressional redistricting.

Kanav Mathur was awarded Distinguished Delegate for being an embodiment of the Blue Ridge Spirit.

Vienna Busch was awarded Outstanding Statesman for her poise and etiquette during presentations and debate. Vienna was also able to give an intent speech during Plenary for a proposal that ultimately passed.

If you feel the mountains calling and want an opportunity to join the excellence of the Florida delegation, keep an eye out for applications in the fall.
