🎃👻 Halloween fun was in full swing across Boys & Girls Clubs Twin Cities! From pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, and face painting at Mt. Airy to haunted houses, trunk-or-treating, and festive games at Al Lenzmeier Westside BGC. Our club kids enjoyed an unforgettable celebration.

A huge thank you to our amazing partners, Palomar and Securian Financial, for helping make these events possible through their generous donations of candy, treats, and supplies. Together, we’re creating joyful memories for the young people and families we serve!

Our Mt. Airy Boys & Girls Clubs members are bringing math to the court with NBA Math Hoops!

Through basketball-themed games and activities, our kids practiced fundamental math skills, strengthened their problem-solving abilities, and learned in a fun and interactive way.

We’re excited to explore innovative learning opportunities that help our club members build skills both in and out of the classroom!

Club teens kicked off this year’s Wild University series with Matt Majka, CEO of the Minnesota Wild, for an inside look at leadership, perseverance, and what it takes to succeed.

Matt shared the challenges and triumphs that have shaped his leadership journey, along with the principles of servant leadership he’s helped instill throughout the Wild organization. His three keys to success? Hard work. Building relationships. And a little bit of luck.

Through monthly sessions during the hockey season, Wild University opens doors to exciting career possibilities in professional sports and large-scale event management. From partnerships and marketing to sports medicine and game-day operations, Club teens are discovering how to turn their passion for sports into a pathway toward their future.

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day! 💙

Today we celebrate our Indigenous cultures, honor those who came before us, and uplift the next generation carrying our stories and traditions forward.

A big thank-you to Niniijaanis One of Ones for putting on the Indigenous Peoples’ Day weekend event at Battle Creek Regional Park—a chance to come together and celebrate community, culture, and connection!

We asked our BGC Club youth and staff: “Why do you celebrate Indigenous Peoples’ Day?” 🎤

A huge thank you to Kohl's for sponsoring a special shopping experience for a few of our Westside Boys & Girls Clubs kids!

They had the opportunity to pick out some things they wanted and needed, giving them extra confidence, comfort, and swag to bring back into the classroom.

We’re grateful for partners like Kohl’s who continue to show up for our kids and create meaningful experiences!

Our Al Lenzmeier West Side Club received an incredible transformation!

Target , through its Bullseye Builds initiative, renovated the gymnasium, updated all K-12 program rooms, and provided new furniture and programming materials, curating an environment for Club members to learn, grow, create, and play.

A huge thank you to Target, Minnesota Timberwolves & Minnesota Lynx, Heart of America, and Senator Amy Klobuchar for giving their time and support in inspiring new life in the space. We can’t wait to see all the memories our Club members make here!

🏆 From dream to screen!

Yesterday, our Club teen leaders were recognized by NBA legend Shaquille O' Neal, Epson and Best Buy at the Dream to Screen Awards!

Teens were challenged to create short videos answering one important question: “What are your top tips for succeeding in the next school year?”

Through their videos, they shared advice, encouragement and motivation to help their peers start the school year strong.

Congratulations to all of our Club teens who brought their ideas to life at Dream to Screen! 🎬🌟

As kids get ready for their first day of school, they can feel confident and comfortable wearing something they picked out themselves. Moments like these remind us how powerful community partnerships can be in helping youth feel ready for what’s ahead.

Congratulations to all of our incredible Club spellers who competed in the 2026 Spelling Bee yesterday!

Youth from seven different Boys and Girls Clubs of the Twin Cities came together at Mall of America to showcase their skills and confidence.
After the competition, the spellers celebrated with rides and fun throughout the park.

A special shoutout to the Mt. Airy Club, this year’s winner of the traveling trophy!
