🎉Congratulations to orthopedic surgeon Deb Bohn, MD, on her recent award from the Pediatric Upper Limb Project Europe (PULPe) for best congenital upper limb article published in 2025!

Dr. Bohn's study, "Syndactyly release with skin graft or skin graft substitute: a within-subject controlled trial," was conducted at Gillette alongside Dr. Ann Van Heest and the Gillette research team.

Gillette Children’s is among the first pediatric hospitals in the U.S. to establish a formalized Family Engagement in Research (FER) Program – an approach that involves collaboration between patients, families, clinicians and researchers as partners throughout the research process.

A new paper in the American Academy of Pediatrics journal, Pediatrics, describes how and why we built our program – and provides a blueprint for other institutions interested in implementing their own.

Scoliosis care at Gillette Children’s includes a wide variety of treatment options tailored to each patient’s age, degree of spinal curve, and goals.

Maggie’s scoliosis diagnosis was a big surprise. It came with many concerns about how the condition and treatment would impact her ability to stay active in volleyball and other sports.

Gillette Children’s is helping one-year-old twins Charlie and Evelyn — who were born at 23 weeks — continue to thrive through coordinated physical medicine and rehabilitation, and specialized craniofacial care.
