Last month Executive Director Tonya Brownlow and Advancement Director Shawna Nelsen-Wills attended the United Women in Faith’s National Assembly in Indianapolis and presented on Restoring Waters, the Living Room, and our Comprehensive Campaign. It was wonderful to connect with women leaders from around the country (and Globe!) and from our own community looking to create positive change! Thank you National UW Faith for your partnership and inspiration.

We were so proud to be one of the many mental health and recovery resources at the Just Hope Hot Rods for Hope event last month! It was great to be a part of this combination car show, resource fair, and fundraiser, and to have fun with the St. Paul recovery community!

We want to give a big thank you and shout out to the groups and individuals who partnered with us in the last month.

Early in the month longtime volunteer Pam and her daughter Amanda led residents at Restoring Waters in creating handmade exfoliating sugar scrubs- a great self-care treat, or gift for a friend or family member!

Pastor Steve and the congregation at Eastside Ministry continued their generous tradition of delivering gift bags for the mothers at both Emma's Place and our Scattered-Site Family Program. Every year these gift bags are so appreciated!

Finally, Deb, Carol, and Betty from Centennial UMC came to Restoring Waters to run the monthly bingo party!

Thank you all again for taking time to bring joy to our residents!

Thank you everyone who attended the Opening Doors Gala or donated in lieu of attendance last night, bid online in or donated to the silent auction, and/or helped us promote the Gala over the last few months. It was an amazing evening!

We're still tabulating the numbers and getting pictures together, so we'll share a longer thank you next week, but we wanted to express right away how grateful we are. The last year has seen many challenges for Minnesota, and especially the Twin Cities, and that made this year's Gala feel uniquely important. We heard from many attendees that coming together to celebrate healing from trauma was in itself a healing experience- which is exactly what we hoped for. We couldn't have done it with out all of you. Thank you!

The fund-a-need is open for another week, so if you missed the event, it's not too late to show your support! Give to the fund-a-need here: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/odg26/items
