Conductor update! 🎶 We’re so excited to announce that Emma Fischer has been selected as Sinfonia East's conductor for the 2026–27 season.

Emma is the Director of Instrumental Music at Hidden River Middle School in St. Paul, where they teach orchestra, band, and percussion. They're also a former GTCYS rehearsal assistant!

Emma’s teaching and conducting are grounded in 3Es: Equity, Empowerment, and Excellence. They hope that through music, students and audiences can embrace their own genius and find beauty in the world we live in.

“I cannot wait to make music at a high level and cultivate a space that is empowering and fulfilling for the young musicians in Sinfonia East,” says Emma.

What a breathtaking performance from Symphony! We’re so grateful to the 900+ families, friends, alums, music teachers, and community members who joined us at Ted Mann Concert Hall and on the livestream for the Symphony Tour Send-Off Concert.

Now, Symphony prepares to embark on tour to New Zealand and Australia, with a capstone concert at the Sydney Opera House. 🌏🎶 Stay tuned for tour updates on Facebook, Instagram, our blog, and email, starting next weekend!
